bWin’s reputation mostly comes from its trusted owners and its long history in the betting business. It doesn’t hurt to mention, and you probably won’t find this in any other Bwin reviews, but they are owned by GVC Holdings, the same company behind PartyPoker, Ladbrokes, and Sportingbet, so they definitely know their business.

Bwin started out in 1997 as Betandwin, a brick-and-mortar betting shop with only 12 employees. In 2000, it got listed on the Vienna Stock Exchange, and since then the company began to rise.

The big change came in 2006 when Betandwin changed its name to Bwin when it was acquired by GVC Holdings. Bwin also has websites dedicated to poker and casino, so check out any Bwin casino reviews out there, if you want to see some of their other offerings in action.

Let’s Get Started

Registration at Bwin is as easy as pie. It involves a simple three-step process, and it won’t take longer than a couple of minutes. In the first step, you have to type in your country of residence, email, gender, and full name. In the next step you create your user ID, password, security question, and answer and then enter your birthday, and you choose between various available currencies. The last sign-up step in our Bwin review involves typing in your address and phone, and you’re done!

If you get stuck at any step during the signup process, there is a customer support button you can click at the bottom of the page at any time. It takes you to the FAQ page, email form, and their live telephone support.

Right after signup is complete, Bwin will automatically load a window in which you’re asked about depositing. However, this step is not obligatory at this moment.

Special Treats

The Bwin bonus section has a decent offer of six different promotions you can claim. However, we’ve singled out some of the most enticing ones. The first one that caught our eye is the Acca Boost program. If you place a bet of a minimum £5, you can get a boost in the form of free bets worth up to £250. The important thing you should know is that the more selections you pick on your slip, the higher the boost can get.

The next bonus in our Bwin review is the Best Odds Guaranteed on the Irish and UK horse racing. Simply put, if you back a horse at 5-1 and it returns 7-1, they will pay you out considering the latter. Note that there is no opt-in required, so anyone is eligible for this bonus.

Then, there’s the 90+ Minute Double Winnings Bonus that lets you double your winnings if the football match is interesting until the very end. Simply opt in, play a match, and if there is a goal after the 90th minute, you’ll receive your winnings plus the betting amount in free bets.

Note that if you stumble on an occasional Bwin review in 2018, you’ll notice that they are all talking about a promo code you can claim. The promo code exists, but it’s valid only for the Bwin Casino, so don’t get your hopes up.

Greasing up Some Palms

Depositing at Bwin is easy and intuitive and literally involves only a couple of steps. Simply find a large yellow Deposit button in the top right corner of your homepage. Once you click on it, Bwin will ask you for your payment method, and here’s the main reason so many Bwin reviews praise their website: there are 12 payment methods and 16 different currencies you can pay in. We used Skrill, but you can also use Visa and Mastercard (debit only for the UK players), PayPal, paysafecard, Skrill 1-Tap, Neteller, Entropay, Trustly Bank Payment, Skrill , Maestro, Instant Banking, and Promocode.

As for the currencies, you can pay with euros, pounds, Argentine and Mexican pesos, Croatian kunas, Swiss francs, Danish, Swedish, and Norwegian kronor, Polish zloty, Hungarian forints, Russian rubles, and Turkish liras.

Let the Games Begin

Now it’s time for a small Bwin sportsbook review of our own where we’ll take a look at their betting offer, the betting process, and the options you have as a Bwin member.

On the right side of your screen you can find all the sports. Currently, Bwin boasts a decent number of 34 sports to place your bets on. There, you can find all-time classics such as football, rugby, tennis, horse racing, basketball, American football, baseball, boxing, and cricket. The offer is solid, and if you check out any Betway reviews, you’ll see Bwin definitely outranks them by the number of sports.

If you enter any of the sports, you’ll find all the matches in the center of the screen. From there you can place your bets by clicking on the buttons with odds displayed. Once you do this, a small betting slip will appear on the right side of the screen where you can enter the desired sum. Note that once you place them, bets can’t be changed or canceled.

You can access your betting slip and follow all your matches directly from the homepage or from your account page. Bwin definitely deserves a high rating for the gameplay, given its simplicity and ease.

Cashing Out

When you finally score some cash, taking it out is just as easy as cashing in. First, go to the top of the page where you’ll find the My Account button. Once you click on it, you’ll be taken to a page with your personal info, and on the left side, in the third column, you’ll find the withdrawal button. Click on it, and you’ll go through a familiar ordeal if you already made a deposit.

As stated in our previous little Bwin app review, you can withdraw your funds from their mobile app. The process is literally the same, just click on your account and find the cashier button, from which you’ll be taken to a withdrawal page.

The Beauty of It

From the first moment you enter the Bwin website, you can notice all the hard work that went into its creation. The website is done in elegant gold and black and clearly aims to invoke the feeling of exclusivity. The content is laid out in a comprehensive manner and is easy to navigate, unlike some of their competition (check out any Bet365 review to see what we’re talking about).

The top of the page contains all the links to their other websites such as Bwin Casino, Jackpot, and Bwin Poker. In the top right corner, you’ll find links for deposits, your account, and balance display. On the left side, you’ll find links to all the sports you can bet on as well as social media buttons and the My Favorites list. The center of the page is reserved for suggested matches you might like and any special Bwin liveoffers on matches that are currently going on.

The left side contains your betting slip, while at the bottom you’ll find all the legal materials, such as terms and conditions, privacy, security, and a company history section. The only thing that ruins this impression is the too-small, almost unnoticeable customer support button at the top of the page.

They Are Sealed Shut

The security at Bwin is so tight and well-done, it resembles a fortress. All the personal information you enter at their website is automatically encrypted using the latest 128-bit SSL encryption. They are also proud bearers of several security certificates like eCOGRA and ESSA.

As for the fairness of their game, unlike some other websites like Betway, Bwin has a whole page dedicated to assuring you that their games are fair. They use third-party agencies that audit their Random Number Generators and Return to Player percentages. If you’re still doubtful, you’ll find all their monthly reports uploaded on their security page.

Now, it’s perfectly normal that some people get ahead of themselves while gambling. If you are starting to experience any problems that you might recognise as symptoms of irresponsible gambling, you can enter the self-exclusion program or the time-out program. Fortunately, we didn’t experience any problems, but if you want to know more, you can check out other Bwin customer reviews online and see their experiences.

They Are Right Behind You

Although it can be hard locating that small customer support button in the top left corner of the page, everything else is a breeze. Once you click on it, you’ll be taken to a customer support page. You’ll be pleasantly surprised to see that they have a FAQ section, an email form, and live chat. If your problem is urgent and needs fixing right away, you can call them at 00442039380862, they have a dedicated team that works 24/7.

If you stumble upon some Bwin reviews on Trustpilot, you’ll find that some people had a difficult time with the customer support. Our experience was completely different. They did take a couple minutes to answer when we reached them on live chat, but once they were online, the problem was solved in a matter of minutes.

Unfortunately, the Bwin app lacks this feature. However, there is a live chat button when you enter into the deposit process, so if you really want to reach them while on-the-go, you have to be pretty sneaky. This can be a great deterrent for new players, and if you check out any other Bwin sports review, you’ll see we’re not alone in our criticism.

What Will It Be?

Let’s try and sum up all the good and bad aspects of Bwin. They have a decent enough assortment of sports to bet on, their customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, and their impenetrable security and banking is easy, so you won’t even notice you’re doing it. These are all great reasons to include them in our best bettings sites list.

Their mobile app is a great addition to the Bwin family, but in our honest opinion, it could go a long way if it had a customer support button.

In the end, the decision lies with you and you alone. We hope our Bwin review cleared up any doubts and helped you reach the right decision.
